list are MANDATORY SECTIONS and
should be filled in properly and accurately by the authors on the FINAL

ACM Digital Library (Portal):

First Letter of the Main Words Should
be Made Capital Letters. Authors Complete
Names -- For each and all authors their
full first name (not initial), middle initial (if any), and last
name need to be included after the title of the paper on the first page,

would like to collect the references/citations used within your paper in
straight text, so these can be used to enhance the capabilities of the
ACM DL (Portal) B. Files
to Submit (Source, PS (postscript), and PDF):
Source File -- We
need the source file (tex or doc) for each submission, be sure your
submission is formatted for US Letter (8.5x11 inches). LaTex users: We
do not need your whole directory of images, figures and packages, just
the main TEX file with the title, authors, affiliations, abstract, ACM
classification sections (Categories, General Terms and keywords), as
well as the references from your bbl file (not your whole bib
directory). Postscript (.ps)
File -- A ps file is NOT mandatory for
Word submissions, but needed for LaTex submissions because of the
extremely low percentage of properly created pdf from tex to pdf. PDF File (.pdf) --
Your pdf file should be ACM Compliant. Right

to Sheridan Printing ASAP (preferably on or before August 5th, 2008,
9:00 AM EST (New York time)): 1.
Authors using Latex to prepare their files should use the SIGPLAN conference
style, available here: http://www.sigplan.org/authorInformation.htm Authors
are instructed to use the 10pt template (per the Call for Papers). This
SIGPLAN site also contains a link to the author's guide and additional
information on the SIGPLAN templates and formatting. Please address
questions and problems concerning the SIGPLAN LaTeX class file to Paul C.
Anagnostopoulos, Windfall Software, sigplanconf@acm.org,
with a CC to Greg Morrisett, greg@eecs.harvard.edu 2. Then kindly
name your .tex and (eventually your final .ps file) using your OOPSLA Paper # with the lead author's last name (example:
oopsla099-weaver.tex / oopsla099-weaver.pdf or .ps). Be sure to format
your document for American Letter (8-1/2x11). Please check that your submission
adheres to the set page limit for your type of submission (see
above). See the email from oopsla@sheridanprinting.com to the contact
author with formatting instructions for your paper id#, and a direct

replace the following four lines in your .tex document after \begin{document}
to produce the correct copyright-permission statement and info: \authorpermission &
be sure to remove [preprint] from the \documentclass line.
4. LaTex user, please use Type 1 fonts for
your .ps file, for help see: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/sigfaq.htm#a14 for
help. If you still have difficulty check with your system administrator.
The .ps file will be distilled to the ACM pdf requirements for use for
printing and the ACM digital library.
5. Please include all text (including references
from the .bbl file) into your .tex file to make one complete .tex document.
We do not want a directory of multiple files, just one file with all text
from your submission. We do not need the figures. We are not recompiling
your submission, only using the one (single-complete) source file to extract
text and data that we need to make the metadata for ACM's digital library.
